Foo Fighters – Scotiabank Place, Ottawa – March 2008

The Foo Fighters picked the best song to start off this concert: “Let it Die.”

It was such an excellent choice because it really captured the style that pervaded the whole concert: at times ‘un-plugged’ acoustic, and at times, a very traditional guitar-shredding rock concert.  Let it Die builds up from a quiet acoustic intro, to what appears to be the chorus at 3:00, to the 3:43 crescendo which still gives me shivers.  The rest of the concert included many similar transitions, from rocking tracks like ‘Break Out’ to an acoustic version of ‘My Hero’ on the center stage.

Sorry it took me so long to post!
