For those of you that are around my age (old), you may have been a fan of the TV show “Max Headroom” that survived about 1.5 seasons on North American TV. It came on as a mid-season replacement for another show and then was renewed for one season.
I knew that this series was originally based on a UK made for TV movie called “20 Minutes into the Future” and was happy to find it posted in its entirety on YouTube. I attached the first part for your viewing convenience:

From what I understand, it was originally just a little film they made. Then, with Max Headroom becoming a cult celebrity, they went forward with the show (with misgivings).
Wasn’t Amanda Plummer in the TV series?
Strangely, it’s never been released on DVD…I’m sure there’s a huge cry for it.
Yep, Amanda Plummer was one of only two people that made the transition to the new series from the pilot.
However, William Morgan Sheppard (Blank Reg) did appear in later episodes.
